1. Book Your Appointment
Our online booking site makes it easy to get started. Clicking "Book Now" will open a new tab where you can select your appointment type. If you've never been seen here before you'll want to select "New Patient Initial Exam". We also offer free consultations if you're not quite ready to get started but want to meet the doctor and have some questions first. When you select your appointment type you'll then be able to select your appointment time. We strive to minimize wait time for new and established patients alike! After selecting your time, follow the prompts to complete the booking process. And that's it! You did it!
2. Fill Out Intake Forms
Your intake forms will be emailed to you after you book your appointment. Filling out these forms ahead of time helps us be efficient and keeps us running on time. We aim to have our intake process be comprehensive but not cumbersome. These forms can be filled out right from your phone! No paper required.
3. Parking and Entrance
Our office is located at 172 South Main Street in Saint Albans City. We are conveniently less than a mile from exit 19 off of interstate 89 and just south of downtown St. Albans. You'll see "Century 21" on the front of the building. You can park in the front of the building in any of the available spaces. When looking at the building, there is an ATM entrance on the right and our entrance on the left. You will see our sign as you approach the building but it's difficult to see from the road. You may also see our sandwich board out by the main road pointing to our entrance.
4. Your First Appointment
There is no check-in process. Once you have found and entered the office, take a seat and make yourself comfortable. Dr. Horne will be right with you! We will start by discussing your health history and what brings you into the office. We will then proceed to the exam, which consists of posture and gait analysis, range of motion testing, orthopedic testing, and palpation of the spine and extremities. We may or may not refer you out for x-ray imaging following the exam. We typically don't do an adjustment during the first visit as we haven't yet created your individualized chiropractic plan of care. Plan to be here for 30 minutes the first time.
5. Your Second Appointment
At your second appointment Dr. Horne will review the results of your exam with you and go over any imaging you had done. Our goal here is to make sure you fully understand what is causing the issue you came in with and what it will take to correct the issue. She will discuss her recommendations for your care in the form of an individualized care plan. Together you'll decide what your care will look like: how often you'll be seen, what services will be performed at each visit, when a reassessment will take place, what outcomes will be tracked in order to gauge sucess, and which payment option works best for you. Plan to be here for 30 minutes to give us time to begin treatment during this appointment. This is typically when you'll receive your first adjustment and you're one step closer to results!
6. Follow Up Visits
Routine chiropractic visits for established patients are scheduled for 15 minutes. We run on time to help you keep up with your care plan and achieve the best results possible! Don't forget to take a chocolate on your way out.
